My core expertise is in bringing people together to figure out how to make their communities better places.  I’ve spent the past decade leading sustainable transportation advocacy and coalition-building in communities across Vermont. I spend more time biking and walking than I do driving, and am dedicated to helping communities redesign their streets around people instead of cars.

More broadly, I am really good at translating complex systems—physical, virtual, human—into a compellingly simple vision, and then leading the process of turning that vision into reality.  I love working sideways, finding what hasn’t been tried and approaching a story from a new angle.  I am comfortable leading as well as participating in teams that span organizations and disciplines, and I love wrangling a whole lot of details so they line up and work together seamlessly.
