With a background in magazine journalism, international service and my current role as a faculty member in the Media Studies, Journalism & Digital Arts department at St. Michael’s College, I believe that effective, honest story telling creates strong, supportive communities.

Much of my writing and editing revolve around health and social justice and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. My courses at St. Michael’s College include multimedia reporting, persuasive writing, storytelling and design for publication, strategic writing and magazine publication. I often weave community-engaged projects into the classroom so that students benefit from real-world challenges and community organizations benefit from student learning.

When not teaching or writing, you might find me traveling in Central America (or dreaming about it), biking with my husband or kayaking with my pup.
